The Sherlock actor took the top spot in the 50 sexiest males of the moment poll conducted internationally by Empire online, beating the likes of avengers star Tom Hiddleston(2nd) and Twilight favourite Robert Pattinson. British men featured heavily in the top 50 with James Bond star Daniel Craig coming in 24th and Scot James McAvoy taking the 16th position, just ahead of Tom Hardy who's in 17th position. Others are Henry Cavill(3rd), Ryan Gosling(4th), Robert Downey(5th),Chris Hemsworth(6th),Robert Pattinson(7th), Michael Fassbender(8th), Hugh Jackman(9th),Bradley Cooper(10th).
Harry potter actress Emma was named sexiest female film star, pushing Scarlett Johnasson into second place and the hunger games favourite Jennifer Lawrence into third. Others are Kristen Steward(4th), Anne Hathaway(5th), Emma Stone(6th), Mila Kunis(7th), Natalie Portman(8th), Angelina Jolie(9th) and Bradley Cooper(10th)
